Custom Fitting Class-Making Sweaters that Fit

Two hours (10-12) on January 5th, 12th, and February 2nd

Skill Level: Advanced beginner-if you can cast on, knit, purl, increase and decrease you can take this class.

Knitting this simple-to-make sweater will teach you how to make a garment that will fit your body. In addition, the measurement techniques taught in this class will help you gain the confidence to make sweaters to fit any body. $65.00 plus materials for 3 two-hour classes

Materials:
Bulky-weight yarn in yardage appropriate to the size you will be making

size 8 circular needles for ribbing

size 9's (or size needed to get gauge) for the body

size 9 double point needles (or 32" circular for magic loop) for the sleeves, with the same in size 8's for the cuffs

8 stitch markers, scrap yarn, tapestry needle; locking stitch markers for buttonhole placement; buttons (7/8")

Basic Top-Down Socks 

Two 2-hr classes from 6-8 on Tuesdays (1/8 and 1/15) 

A sock is a great little project that you can easily carry with you (never be bored waiting in lines or for appointments again!). It also makes a perfect gift for someone who is knit- worthy! Quickly create your first top-down sock in this class using traditional top-down sock techniques using worsted weight yarn. You will learn how to cast on, knit the heel flap, turn the heel, make a gusset, and end with the kitchener stitch. When these class sessions are over, you will be ready to start your first pair of socks using sock yarn!$50 for two 2-hr sessions plus materialsMaterials: Smooth, light-colored worsted weight yarn and size 5 needles for knitting a small circumference (DPN"s, 2 circs, or magic loop, whichever is your favorite)
