Cerisara is a light-weight knit that can be made as a cardigan or a sleeveless vest with an easy to learn lace pattern that is shown both in written and chart form. In this class, you will learn a provisional cast-on using a crochet hook, how to knit the lace pattern, cast-on in the middle of a row, and short rows.
$65 plus materials for six hours of class, including two 2-hour sessions and two 1-hour sessions. Classes will be held on Sept. 24 (2 hrs); Oct. 8, (2 hrs); Oct 22 (1 hr) and Nov. 5 (1 hr)

Materials: DK weight yarn; 32" circular needles in size 7 or size needed to get gauge; the same size DPN's for sleeves;
size D crochet hook, stitch markers, approx. 25 yds dk weight scrap yarn for provisional cast on--plus enough to knit about 4-5 rows for back of sweater.
Our sample sweater was made with 4 balls of Roslyn DK from Cascade Yarns.

Homework: Cast on 24 sts. Knit it garter stitch for 4 rows, then, using stockinette stitch (knit one row, purl one row) knit 8 rows as follows: Row 1 Knit across row Row 2 Knit 3 sts, purl to last 3 sts, knit 3 sts. Repeat until you have 6 rows of stockinette
