with Pam Grushkin

Mondays, October 12, 19, 26, November 2, 9, 16 6:30 – 8:00 pm.

Per the designer, Lisa Hannes, ‘“Festival of Stitches” is a fun & playful project that will keep you engaged from start to finish! Different sections make it addictive and knit up quickly. The finished item will add a wonderful highlight to your daily wardrobe with a shape that is versatile and easy to wear.

Yes, there’s lots of fun colorwork in this pattern! But only easy slipped stitches (yay, mosaic) and color blocking, no stranded/fair isle/intarsia/brioche. There are also some cables, eyelets, and stripes.’

Pam Grushkin will guide you through knitting Festival of Stitches. During class, Pam will demonstrate the techniques in each section. Notably, each section contains fully written instructions and charts so you can choose which you prefer to work from. Pam will acquaint you with working from charts if you are unfamiliar or unsure.

This pattern is sure to keep your attention and the class will provide coaching, continuity, and camaraderie.

Join the fun, pick out your colors, and let’s cast of for a Festival ~ because who doesn’t enjoy a festival?

Skill Level: Adventurous Advanced Beginner, must be able to cast on, bind off, knit, purl, work a variety of stitch patterns with combinations of knits and purls, and basic lace.

Fingering weight yarn in 3 contrasting colors. Allow approx. 368-374 yds /337-340 m of each color to get the sample size, 92.5”/235 cm x 15.25” /39 cm. Each section is fully adjustable and works just as well for more/less yardage. Click here to view the other projects on Ravelry for color combination ideas.

Needles, notions, etc.: Pattern is available on Ravelry, needles used for sample: US 4. While gauge is not critical for this project, differences will affect yardage requirements and the finished size. Be sure to use a larger needle size than may be recommended for your yarn to allow a good drape of the finished item. Factor into your needle choice if you knit particularly loose or tight.

Homework: Have your yarn wound before class.
